Jerry and Gwen Henderson moved to Denison in 1973 and became foster parents.They helped start the Grayson Country Foster and Adoptive Parent Association (GCFAPA) in 1974.Before the association started, foster families didn’t really know each other and were not connected for support.GCFAPA offers support that can only come from other families who are going through the same Agency issues and kid issues.It’s been a blessing to several hundred foster families since 1974.
